Monad (MON) Surges 76% as Mainnet Launch Triggers $1.2B Trading Spike

  • Monad surged more than 76% in 24 hours, reaching a peak of $0.045.
  • The Layer-1 blockchain’s mainnet went live this week, backed by an ambitious DeFi roadmap.
  • MON is listed on major exchanges including Coinbase and Upbit.

The price of Monad climbed 76% over the past 24 hours, extending gains following the highly anticipated mainnet launch on November 24, 2025.

MON’s sharp advance placed the token among the day’s top market movers, with trading volume exploding to $1.2 billion and highlighting strong speculative demand.

The Layer-1 platform’s launch adds momentum with planned credit protocols, yield products, and liquid staking options. Memecoin activity is another area market participants are watching.

Monad pumps 76% on $1.2 billion volume

Monad flipped the switch on its public mainnet on Monday, unleashing a wave of decentralized apps and liquidity pools.

The token rallied aggressively, trading intraday between lows near $0.025 and highs around $0.045. Since earlier levels near $0.020, MON has gained more than 106%.

CoinMarketCap data show daily volume jumped over 600%, pushing turnover above $1.2 billion.

That surge made MON one of the most active tokens that day. The pump outpaced several notable altcoins, including Kaspa, Sui and Ethena, in terms of market movement.

What’s driving the Monad price rise?

The primary drivers appear to be the mainnet launch and the platform’s DeFi potential.

In a post on X, the L1 outlined a roadmap focused on seamless integrations designed to foster DeFi growth.

Credit protocols such as Curvance and TownSquare aim to let users leverage MON, liquid staking tokens (LSTs) and stablecoins with high loan-to-value ratios and automated looping strategies.

Yield offerings like the MON Vault and Upshift’s earnAUSD Vault provide composable, differentiated returns on stablecoins.

Liquid staking options further enhance utility by enabling stakers to capture rewards while deploying LSTs within DeFi strategies.

Listings on major centralized exchanges have also supported momentum. Market observers attribute the volume surge to speculative interest and early ecosystem incentives.

Exchanges listing MON include Coinbase, Upbit, Bithumb, Kraken, KuCoin and Bybit.

MON price outlook

While the recent gains are notable, further upside remains possible.

Beyond exchange listings, additional catalysts could include ecosystem grants, partnerships and continued project launches. If Monad can mirror growth trajectories seen in other fast-growing ecosystems, the token could post further rapid gains.

That said, bearish risks persist. Profit-taking and regulatory scrutiny are key downside concerns.

In a bullish scenario, a decisive break above $0.10 could put the $1 mark back on the table as a longer-term target. Conversely, a fall back toward low levels around $0.025 would likely encourage sellers and cool momentum.
