Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced on Twitter that the country’s NFT museum team has created a special non-fungible token (NFT) honoring Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and Tesla.
Musk has been a prominent supporter of Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion. In the announcement, the minister also revealed that the museum has raised 258 ETH — roughly $725,000 — in donations.
Ukraine’s NFT Museum
The NFT museum, also known as “Meta History: Museum of War,” hosts a collection of NFTs that capture exclusive moments from the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The museum was launched last month to raise funds to support civilians and soldiers affected by the war. Sales from the NFT collection are processed on the Ethereum blockchain, with all proceeds directed into the ministry’s official crypto wallet (currently holding 258 ETH).
Elon Musk’s Support for Ukraine
Ukraine has benefited significantly from Elon Musk’s Starlink initiative. At the outbreak of the war, Minister Fedorov requested Starlink terminals to restore disrupted internet service caused by Russian attacks.
More than a thousand Starlink terminals are now operational across Ukraine, though the country continues to seek support from the international community.
