Ripple Secures $500 Million
On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, amid broader crypto market sell-off pressure, Ripple announced one of the year’s biggest developments.
The company announced it had raised $500 million in new funding, valuing Ripple at $40 billion following the investment.
Alongside Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities, the round included Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard and Marshall Wace.
This financing represents one of the largest private investments into the blockchain sector this year.
The raise follows a recent $1 billion tender offer from Ripple at the same valuation.
Company leadership described the round as the culmination of what they called Ripple’s strongest year in the crypto industry to date.
Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple’s CEO, framed the funding as validation of the company’s long-term vision.
“This investment reflects both incredible momentum at Ripple and further validation of the market opportunity we are aggressively pursuing with some of the world’s most trusted financial institutions,” he said. “We started in 2012 with a single use case—payments—and have expanded into custody, stablecoins, prime brokerage and corporate treasury using digital assets like XRP. Today Ripple is a partner for institutions seeking access to crypto and blockchain.”
Ripple plans to deploy the new capital to support key platform initiatives.
These priorities include product development, global regulatory engagement and expansion of Ripple’s liquidity solutions.
The company will also invest in its stablecoin program and custody services.
Ripple Continues Mega Growth Trajectory
The capital injection arrives amid a wave of positive momentum for Ripple.
Payment volumes on the XRP Ledger have surged, and adoption of Ripple’s regulated stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD), has increased significantly.
RLUSD recently surpassed a $1 billion market capitalization.
Ripple Prime, the firm’s institutional brokerage unit spun out of the Hidden Road acquisition, is also active.
These milestones are part of Ripple’s evolution from a payments-focused startup to a full-service financial technology provider.
In recent months Ripple closed multiple large deals, including transactions valued at $1 billion.
October’s acquisition of GTreasury followed an earlier acquisition of Rail, moves intended to strengthen the company’s stablecoin footprint and corporate finance offerings.
Ripple also expanded its U.S. presence with a New York trust charter earlier in the year, enabling regulated custody and payments services.
