Revolut has officially launched Revolut X, a dedicated crypto trading exchange, the company announced on Tuesday. Designed with professional and experienced traders in mind, Revolut X brings enhanced trading functionality and analytics to retail customers in the UK.
Revolut X goes live for UK users
Targeting traders who require speed, transparency and low costs, Revolut X aims to be one of the most accessible crypto exchanges in the United Kingdom by offering instant on- and off-ramps and commission-free trading. The platform is built to provide a familiar but powerful trading environment for users moving beyond basic retail features.
Leonid Bashlykov, Revolut’s Head of Crypto Exchange Product, summed up the product focus, noting that competitive pricing and straightforward deposit and withdrawal processes are central to what active traders expect from a crypto platform.
Revolut X supports real-time trading and delivers market analytics for more than 100 crypto tokens. The platform includes advanced order types such as market and limit orders and lists major assets like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and XRP (XRP). These capabilities are intended to give traders the tools they need to execute strategies efficiently.
With Revolut’s existing global customer base of over 40 million users, the launch of a standalone exchange could become an important growth channel as interest in cryptocurrencies continues to expand. The new exchange lets users buy and sell crypto independently of the main Revolut app, reflecting plans first reported earlier this year that outlined a separate exchange experience for customers.
By focusing on low friction on/off ramps, zero fees and a professional feature set, Revolut X is positioned to compete with established UK crypto platforms. Initially limited to UK customers, Revolut has the option to scale the offering to additional markets in the future depending on demand and regulatory conditions.
