- Red Bull Doodle Art is a global competition that invites students to create original doodles showcasing their creativity and artistic skills.
- Crossmint is a leading NFT infrastructure provider.
- Burnt Toast is the co‑founder of Doodles and a noted illustrator, designer, animator, and muralist.
Crossmint, Red Bull Doodle Art, and Burnt Toast have partnered to give student artists the chance to create and mint their own NFTs.
This year the Red Bull Doodle Art global competition includes an NFT component, allowing winners to have their artwork minted on-site at the world final and offered at auction. Crossmint will serve as the platform and infrastructure partner, providing every participant with a Proof of Participation NFT and an on-ramp wallet, with seamless onboarding powered by Crossmint’s minting tools.
Giving students an opportunity to mint NFTs
Students now have a practical way to own, showcase, and potentially monetize their artwork through NFTs.
Commenting on the collaboration, Crossmint co-founder Rodri Fernandez Touza said:
“NFTs are transforming the art world, empowering creators to build unique experiences and monetize in new ways. However, web3 is still too complex for most artists. We hope this competition, and the seamless crypto onboarding experience powered by Crossmint’s wallet and minting infrastructure, will empower a new generation of artists to get involved with NFTs.”
With Crossmint’s support, Red Bull Doodle Art offers a distinctive platform for student artists to present their work to a worldwide audience. So far, 120,000 participants from 62 countries have submitted entries. During the campaign, students will receive guidance from Burnt Toast, the artist behind the Doodles aesthetic.
One national winner from each participating country will advance to the World Final in Amsterdam, scheduled for May 25–27, 2023.
