The native token PLUME of Plume Network jumped 20% following an investment announcement from YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs, backing the Layer-1 network.
PLUME rallied to a daily high of $0.18, bringing bulls within striking distance of the all-time high of $0.2108 recorded in January 2025. According to CoinGecko data, the token was roughly 15% below that peak at the time of writing.
YZi Labs invests in Plume Network
Plume Network is a blockchain platform focused on bridging traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) by tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs). In recent months the project has attracted growing attention and capital, driven largely by its progress in bringing real-world assets on-chain.
To facilitate RWA tokenization, Plume has secured backing from institutional players including Brevan Howard Digital, Haun Ventures and Galaxy.
In an announcement, YZi Labs confirmed its participation in Plume’s RWAfi initiative, underscoring confidence in Plume’s approach and reflecting YZi’s continued interest in RWA, artificial intelligence and other sectors at the intersection of TradFi and DeFi. Changpeng “CZ” Zhao’s involvement with YZi Labs signals the firm’s strategic direction. Max Coniglio, Investment Director at YZi Labs, said:
“At YZi Labs we invest in projects that use blockchain to create tangible impact. Plume is a prime example: they bring real assets on-chain to unlock capital, broaden access, and drive adoption. By making RWAs as seamless as other digital assets, Plume bridges traditional finance and DeFi, paving the way for wider acceptance.”
Today’s announcement did not disclose the financial terms of the investment, but it complements earlier funding rounds intended to support Plume’s growth.
In October 2023, the project raised $10 million in a seed round led by Haun Ventures, with participation from YZi and other investors.
Chris Yin, CEO and co-founder of Plume Network, commented on the recent collaboration:
“YZi Labs’ investment reinforces our vision to build a resilient RWAfi ecosystem that encourages institutional adoption of tokenized assets while offering crypto-native users more utility.”
Who else supports Plume?
Plume has formed partnerships with several notable companies, including Superstate, Fireblocks, Aethir, BounceBit, Mercado Bitcoin and Moca Network.
YZi Labs, renamed earlier this year from Binance Labs, now functions as a family office led by Binance co-founders Changpeng Zhao and Yi He. The firm’s investment in this RWAfi initiative reflects confidence in the market opportunity for tokenized real-world assets.
Other projects gaining traction in the RWA space include Ondo Finance and MANTRA, which have also drawn attention for bringing tokenized real-world assets to broader networks and institutional channels.
