Maple Finance (SYRUP) Jumps 12% as Protocol Revenue Hits $2.16M in October

  • Maple Finance (SYRUP) price rises 12% on strong volume
  • Gains push the token closer to a key resistance zone at $0.50
  • The uptick follows Maple’s record monthly protocol revenue

The price of Maple Finance’s native token, SYRUP, is showing notable outperformance.

According to CoinMarketCap data, the on-chain asset management platform’s token jumped more than 12% over the past 24 hours, outperforming the broader cryptocurrency market.

These gains coincide with the platform’s record-breaking revenue performance in October 2025 and come amid other significant recent developments across the Maple Finance ecosystem.

SYRUP surges 12%, outpacing the crypto market

Cryptocurrencies broadly reacted modestly to the Federal Reserve’s 25 basis-point rate cut on October 29, with muted market movement during Chair Jerome Powell’s remarks.

Bitcoin and major altcoins showed similar tepid behavior during Asian trading hours on Thursday, despite positive reports on US-China trade talks.

Against that subdued market backdrop, Maple Finance stood out.

SYRUP climbed 12% in 24 hours, reaching an intraday high of $0.45.

The DeFi token joined the ranks of top performers for the day alongside projects such as Zcash, Euler, and Aerodrome Finance, recording double-digit gains. Although sellers trimmed the token from intraday highs, bulls are looking to hold near the $0.42 area.

SYRUP’s advance was accompanied by robust trading activity.

CoinMarketCap data shows sustained bullish momentum driven by strong trading volume of $76.4 million — up 120% in 24 hours.

As bulls consolidate near the key resistance at $0.50, fresh capital appears to be flowing into Maple’s token, and momentum across the sector could provide further support for SYRUP’s price.

Maple posts $2.16 million in monthly protocol revenue

While SYRUP holders welcomed recent price gains, another highlight for Maple Finance was its record monthly protocol revenue.

According to the team’s public statement, Maple reported $2.159 million in protocol revenue for October 2025, marking a significant jump from prior months.

For context, revenue has climbed steadily from roughly $100,000 in early 2024 to about $1.2 million by mid-2025, and now exceeding $2 million in October.

The revenue surge is primarily driven by increased activity in Maple’s lending and asset-management services, which cater to institutional participants seeking on-chain solutions.

Protocol fees from lending, borrowing, and yield-generation activities rose materially, reflecting the platform’s ability to scale its operations and capture higher fee income.

Price and revenue gains coincide with several strategic developments for Maple Finance, including plans to sunset SYRUP staking and implement token buybacks.

MIP-019: Activate the SSF and Sunset Staking

The proposal introduces three new changes aimed at extending token buybacks, expanding governance eligibility to SYRUP, and sunsetting the staking mechanism to ensure long-term sustainability.

The platform also recently announced a partnership with Aave, a leading DeFi lending protocol, to introduce institutional-grade lending options.

That collaboration enables asset listings such as syrupUSDT on Aave’s markets, improving liquidity and capital efficiency for users.

Additionally, Maple reported assets under management (AUM) of $5 billion, underscoring its growing influence in on-chain investment management.
