The hackathon is open to creators worldwide, and the established developer ecosystems HackQuest and OpenBuild will provide tools, visibility for new projects, and mentorship.
Organizers encourage participants to focus on practical, usable innovations rather than hype-driven trends.
Build to solve real-world problems
Mantle has outlined its expectations for hackathon entries: products that address genuine user needs and deliver tangible value.
The judging process will prioritize five core criteria: scalability, product design, technical execution, Mantle integration, and market potential.
The Mantle team emphasized that successful submissions should prioritize market utility over flashy demonstrations.
This hackathon is intended as a platform for serious builders, not short-term speculators. The organizers stated:
Build what endures, not just what’s trendy. Focus on execution, usability, and real-world relevance. Above all, solve what users actually need.
Participants will have ample time to plan and refine their projects.
Registration and building start this month, and winners will be announced in February.

Creators have time to design, test, and polish their ideas before presenting projects to the crypto community and the judges.
The hackathon features a diverse panel of judges with notable figures from the blockchain space.
The roster includes 0x Todd, Trustless State, Notaciccap, and many others with expertise in venture capital, DeFi innovation, and product development.
The large judging panel adds credibility to the event and signals high expectations, given their experience evaluating projects with real-world impact and creative solutions.
Mantle and Bybit prioritize real-world solutions
The five-month hackathon coincides with Mantle’s partnership with the centralized exchange Bybit, a collaboration designed to bring together liquidity providers, real-world assets, and developers.
The partnership aims to democratize the on-chain finance industry, which represents trillions in value.
This initiative aligns with Mantle’s mission to expand beyond a single blockchain, building an international developer community to accelerate financial innovation.
Price outlook for MNT
The native Mantle token reflected broader market sentiment today.
MNT lost nearly 10% of its value over the past 24 hours, trading at $1.64.

Diminished daily trading volumes suggest reduced trader interest in the token as bearish forces impact the crypto market.
The total market capitalization of all digital tokens fell about 5% in the last 24 hours to $3.65 trillion, influenced by factors such as tariff tensions and macroeconomic pressures.
Despite the short-term decline, some analysts remain optimistic and expect rebounds in Q4 and into 2026.
Meanwhile, the ongoing hackathon could boost MNT’s utility and trading volumes over time, potentially contributing to more stable price performance if successful projects drive adoption.
