KuCoin Ventures, the venture capital arm of leading crypto exchange KuCoin, together with KuCoin’s NFT marketplace Windvane, has launched a $100 million “Creators Fund,” according to a press release obtained by Coin Journal.
The fund will support early-stage NFT projects across art, sports, celebrity collaborations, Asian cultural content, and other areas. Ninety-nine selected NFT creators will be invited to join the Windvane marketplace to accelerate Web3 growth and expand creative opportunities.
Windvane offers NFT minting, trading and more
KuCoin’s decentralized NFT marketplace Windvane provides functionality for NFT minting, storage, trading, governance, and additional services. The platform aims to be comprehensive and compatible with mainstream NFT blockchains such as Ethereum (ETH), Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Flow.
Supporting emerging artists and creators
The Creators Fund is designed to help emerging artists showcase their talents publicly and to build a freer, more equitable, and more democratic decentralized NFT marketplace. It will also provide access to innovative technologies to facilitate growth in the NFT space and contribute to the development of a diverse Web3 ecosystem.
Windvane will support Initial NFT Offerings (INOs) leveraging KuCoin’s significant traffic, along with promotion from key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major hubs to increase visibility for participating creators.
