KuCoin, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a partnership with Chingari, a short-video sharing app. The companies also revealed the launch of the Chingari Star Contest, designed to reward Chingari users with GARI tokens worth 20 million INR.
The Chingari Star Contest launched on February 15, 2022, and will run for one month. Top participants will receive significant prizes.
Boosting content creation on Chingari
The KuCoin–Chingari partnership aims to increase content creation on the Chingari platform by discovering emerging talent from across India. Chingari provides a stage where anyone can showcase their skills and reach a wider audience.
The Chingari Star Contest is open to everyone, including both new and existing Chingari users.
KuCoin’s involvement expands the contest’s reach to a broader audience and market, including KuCoin users.
The Chingari team hopes the contest will motivate creators to produce their best work, while also helping them improve audience acquisition and gain experience creating videos on the platform.
Sumit Ghosh, CEO and co-founder of Chingari, commented on the contest launch:
“Given the overwhelming response we’ve seen from creators so far, it made sense to start the contest on February 15,” Ghosh added. “The extra time allows new users to build their profiles on the Chingari app and gives them a fair chance to compete against creators who are already popular on the platform.”
KuCoin’s partnership with Chingari also positions the exchange as one of Chingari’s early supporters after a funding round completed in January that raised $35 million. Beyond partnering, KuCoin is acting as an accelerator for adoption of Chingari’s native GARI token after listing it earlier that month.

How to join the Chingari Star Contest
To enter the contest, participants should complete their profiles on the Chingari app (available on both iOS and Android), upload videos to the platform, and then apply to become the ultimate Chingari Star.
