Jack Dorsey, Elon Musk and Cathie Wood will participate in a live panel at the Bitcoin conference starting tomorrow.
Prominent figures in the crypto world—Jack Dorsey, Elon Musk and Cathie Wood—are scheduled to appear together for a live discussion at the Bitcoin-focused conference “The ₿ Word,” which begins on 21 July. The conference organizers have confirmed their participation and listed a number of other industry speakers.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, will join Twitter founder Jack Dorsey and ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood for the live session. Additional participants include Hong Fang from OKCoin, Adam Back of Blockstream, Sam Korus from ARK Invest, Steve Lee and Conor Okus from Square Crypto, and Philip Gradwell from Chainalysis.
Interest in the event has been high since Dorsey extended an invitation to Musk last month. Final details for The ₿ Word were only completed recently, fueling anticipation because Dorsey and Musk are widely regarded as influential voices in cryptocurrency conversations.
Jack Dorsey’s involvement in crypto centers on his work with Square, the payments company that is developing a dedicated Bitcoin hardware wallet intended to make self-custody more accessible to mainstream users. Square also announced plans to explore decentralized finance (DeFi) services built on the Bitcoin network. Dorsey has long been a vocal Bitcoin advocate and has expressed limited interest in alternative digital currencies.
Elon Musk’s stance on Bitcoin has been more nuanced. He has both praised and criticized the leading cryptocurrency at different times, and Tesla briefly halted Bitcoin payments citing environmental concerns. At the same time, Musk has shown consistent public support for Dogecoin, the leading meme-based token.
Cathie Wood leads ARK Invest, a major institutional investor active in the crypto sector. ARK has recently submitted filings with U.S. regulators to launch a Bitcoin ETF, signaling the firm’s continued push for regulated investment products tied to Bitcoin.
The conference promises a range of topics related to Bitcoin’s role in payments, custody, decentralized finance and institutional adoption, with panelists representing exchanges, infrastructure providers and investment firms.
