Infinex Integrates Wormhole to Power a Multichain DeFi App

  • Infinex is integrating Wormhole Connect to enable in-app cross-chain token transfers for its users.
  • The DeFi platform will also use Wormhole Queries to strengthen security and support cross-chain asset recovery.

Infinex, a platform aiming to broaden access to decentralized finance by offering multic-chain access to protocols and applications, has selected Wormhole as its primary interoperability provider.

The project, founded by Synthetix creator Kain Warwick, will use Wormhole technology to power in-app token transfers for its user base.

According to an announcement on October 7, Infinex will leverage Wormhole Connect and Wormhole Queries to facilitate token transfers and improve cross-chain operations.

“Infinex’s vision is to simplify decentralized finance by creating a seamless multicurrency user experience and providing the most secure way to connect to chains,” said Kain Warwick, founder of Infinex.

Efficiency and DeFi Adoption

Wormhole features that will benefit Infinex include efficiency and wide adoption across the decentralized finance ecosystem.

The interoperability infrastructure currently connects more than 30 blockchains. Protocols have used Wormhole to relay over one billion cross-chain messages and facilitate asset transfers valued at more than $45 billion.

Major industry participants leveraging Wormhole integrations include digital asset securities firm Securitize, decentralized exchange Uniswap, USDC issuer Circle, and asset manager BlackRock.

Worldcoin also uses Wormhole for its World ID integration on Solana.

Infinex’s decision to integrate Wormhole follows its recent NFT sale that raised $65.2 million and attracted investment from Solana Ventures, Moonrock Capital, Framework Ventures, and Wintermute.
