HYPE Soars to Record High as BTC, ETH and XRP Rally — Weekend Watch

After losing roughly $8,000 in just over a week, Bitcoin’s price finally rebounded over the past day following more promising developments on the U.S.–Iran peace front.

Most major altcoins moved higher as well, helping the total crypto market capitalization recover more than $80 billion from yesterday’s low.

BTC Climbs Toward $77K

The leading cryptocurrency suffered a steep pullback over the past ten days, driven by a mix of factors including heavy ETF outflows, investor retreat, and rising geopolitical tensions. Bitcoin fell below $78,000 last weekend and slipped to around $76,000 a few days later.

An attempted rebound on Wednesday and Thursday stalled near $78,000, and bears took control on Friday—intensifying into Saturday morning—which pushed Bitcoin down to just above $74,000. That marked its lowest level in May and followed a series of escalatory comments related to Iran.

Late in the move, however, signals of progress toward a lasting peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran, announced by the U.S. president, triggered an immediate market reaction. Bitcoin surged back, briefly topping roughly $77,200 earlier today before encountering resistance. At the time of writing it trades slightly below $77,000, with a market capitalization recovering to approximately $1.54 trillion according to CoinGecko.

Bitcoin’s dominance over altcoins also remains above 58% after a short dip yesterday.

HYPE Hits New All-Time High

Aside from a brief dip to $55 yesterday, HYPE has been the standout performer in recent weeks. Momentum accelerated today as HYPE reached a fresh all-time high above $63.

Ethereum held the $2,000 level and climbed past $2,100 after a roughly 4.5% daily gain. BNB returned to about $660, while XRP reclaimed the $1.35 resistance zone. Solana rose toward $87, ZEC returned near $645, and additional gains appeared across CC, XLM, SUI, AVAX, TAO and other tokens.

Several assets recorded larger double-digit advances, notably WLD, NEAR, MORPHO, ONDO and QNT.

Overall, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization has added more than $80 billion since yesterday’s low, bringing it to about $2.65 trillion on CoinGecko.
