Globalblock Teams with Premier Sports Network to Drive Crypto Adoption in Sports

  • GlobalBlock becomes Premier Sports Network (PSN)’s official digital asset partner

  • The collaboration gives GlobalBlock access to top sports personalities and clubs, creating a strong opportunity to promote crypto adoption across the sports industry.

GlobalBlock UK, a wholly owned subsidiary of GlobalBlock Digital Asset Trading Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with Premier Sports Network (PSN), aimed at advancing the presence and understanding of digital assets within the global sports sector.

According to a press release shared with CoinJournal, GlobalBlock UK is now PSN’s official digital assets partner.

Under the agreement, the UK-based crypto brokerage will receive exclusive access to sports leaders and influencers from around the world.

GlobalBlock highlighted that this relationship will bring significant exposure through collaborations involving the English Premier League (EPL) and Premiership Rugby, among other sports partners.

Promoting crypto adoption and education

Ben Small, GlobalBlock’s head of partnerships, emphasized that the sports sector is increasingly embracing crypto for payments and commercial arrangements. He noted that clubs, players, and corporate partners are increasingly using cryptocurrency for salaries and sponsorships, which he described as a major growth opportunity.

This is a very exciting deal for us and we are delighted to be PSN’s official digital asset partner. We see this as a tremendous growth opportunity for GlobalBlock, not only to capitalise on the increasing trend of adoption of crypto within sports, but to provide education to PSN’s stakeholders,” Small said.

Kai McKechnie, head of marketing at PSN, said the partnership is intended to strengthen crypto education across the sports industry.

The lack of crypto education and consistent regulation within the sports sector are key issues that need addressing. In partnership with GlobalBlock we will support the industry with a trusted service,” McKechnie added.

The collaboration will enable GlobalBlock UK and PSN to collaborate on multiple initiatives, including referrals to sports clubs, educational workshops, and content features. GlobalBlock will also be included in PSN’s magazine and newsletters, increasing its visibility among PSN audiences.

Founded in 2018, GlobalBlock Limited is registered in the UK as a crypto asset business and provides execution trading and secure custody services to both individual and institutional clients. The firm has applied for full authorization from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

In recent years the EPL and other sports organisations have explored crypto use cases such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and fan tokens, reflecting growing interest in how digital assets can be integrated into fan engagement and commercial strategies.
