Freewallet Launches Gift Cards as Part of Exchange Overhaul

With its new gift card feature, the online crypto wallet allows users to exchange cryptocurrencies for goods in just a few clicks

The multi-currency online crypto wallet Freewallet is gradually expanding its features and services to better meet the needs of cryptocurrency users. The most recent announcements include integration with MoonPay and the launch of a new gift card feature.

The partnership with MoonPay has significantly improved the process of buying cryptocurrencies with fiat currency, enabling customers to use a credit card to purchase crypto at competitive rates. Users can now pay with 42 different fiat currencies when buying BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC, BCH, XLM, USDC, EOS, TRX, VET, DAI, NEO, ZIL, ZRX, TUSD, MANA, PAX, CHZ, CVC, EOSDT and USDT (ERC-20).

In addition to the MoonPay integration, Freewallet completed a pilot late last year and has now fully launched its new gift card functionality. Cards can be purchased for use both in physical stores and online shops, enabling virtually any cryptocurrency to be converted into goods with just a few clicks.

The gift cards cover a wide range of product categories, from department stores and fashion to entertainment. Freewallet has partnered with more than 800 global brands, including Amazon, eBay, iTunes, Burger King, Nike, Starbucks, The Body Shop, Ticketmaster, Global Hotel Card, Topshop and Uber.

Freewallet users can search gift cards by popularity, location, or alphabetically. Card values range from one to 1,000 US dollars. Gift cards are currently issued for use in stores across 38 countries, and Freewallet plans to expand the available card selection in the future.

Freewallet’s PR manager, Solomon Brown, commented on the new offerings: “We are very pleased to provide our users with additional useful features. We’ve been fortunate to build a strong community around our platform and to listen to the feedback they share. It’s remarkable to see the progress we have made as a service provider and the strides the industry has taken as a whole. We hope our users enjoy the new gift card feature as well as the upgraded exchange.
