DUSK cools off after recent peak
DUSK, the native token of the Dusk Network, slipped below $0.20 and shed more than 35% of its value in the last 24 hours. This bearish movement follows a sharp seven-day rally in which the token gained roughly 150%, outperforming many major cryptocurrencies during that period.
Data from CoinGlass show that futures open interest (OI) on exchanges hit a new high of $47.94 million on Monday and settled near $39 million on Tuesday.
During the same timeframe, Binance’s OI for DUSK reached $20.54 million — levels not seen since February 2023. Rising open interest typically indicates fresh or additional capital entering the market, which can drive price gains for the asset.
Santiment data also indicate that trading volume across the DUSK ecosystem surged to a record $298.43 million on Monday and stabilized around $264.16 million on Tuesday.
On Monday, Dusk announced a partnership with Chainlink to integrate key standards into DuskEVM. The integration enables cross-chain interoperability for tokenized real-world assets and supports real-time, high-integrity data for compliant financial applications, backed by NPEX, a fully regulated Dutch securities exchange.
Will DUSK climb toward $0.33?
The DUSK/USD 4-hour chart remains technically bullish and resilient despite the 35% pullback in the past day. Price is still trading above the weekly support-turned-resistance level at $0.17, which bulls continue to defend.
If buyers regain control and DUSK closes its daily candle above the weekly resistance level, the rally could extend toward the December high near $0.33.
The 4-hour Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 74, above typical overbought thresholds, signaling strong bullish momentum. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) also showed a bullish crossover.
However, if the correction continues, DUSK could extend its decline toward the 50% retracement level near $0.18.
