BODEN, TREMP and SLCTY See Uptick Despite Bitcoin Crisis

  • Solciety (SLCTY) is a new PolitiFi token on Solana.
  • BODEN and TREMP are two of the top PolitiFi meme coins that could see volatility this week.
  • Despite Bitcoin’s struggles, the Biden–Trump debate could be a major catalyst.

Most meme coins traded lower over the past week as earlier gains faded amid a broader market pullback. While Bitcoin continues to struggle and may be signaling a potential extension of its downtrend, key politics-themed meme coins could find a catalyst in this week’s U.S. presidential debate.

PolitiFi tokens to watch include Donald Tremp (TREMP) and Jeo Boden (BODEN). Also drawing attention in this niche is Solciety (SLCTY), a newly launched “political party for degens” built on Solana that may register significant movement in the sector.

Bitcoin dips again toward $60,000 as bears regain control

Bitcoin’s price slipped toward $61,000 on Monday as several factors helped bears reassert themselves in the market. Macroeconomic forces have played a role in recent weeks, along with rising sell pressure from miners and large BTC holders.

The latest pullback coincided with news that the defunct crypto exchange Mt. Gox plans to begin repayments to creditors in July. Markets reacted strongly and bears may push BTC toward the psychological $60,000 level.

In May, Bitcoin fell toward $56,000 following post-halving weakness, though other factors helped limit the decline. Despite these short-term setbacks, the long-term outlook for the flagship cryptocurrency remains cautiously optimistic.

BODEN and TREMP look for a lift during debate week

Although the politics-themed meme coin market cooled last week, activity is expected to pick up when the United States hosts the first televised debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

The debate, scheduled for Thursday, June 27, 2024, is the first face-to-face encounter between the incumbent Biden and former president Trump. Cryptocurrencies, especially political meme coins or PolitiFi tokens, are likely to experience heightened volatility around the event.

Beyond MAGA (TRUMP) and Super Trump (STRUMP), Jeo Boden (BODEN) and Doland Tremp (TREMP) are among the meme coins positioned to capture attention. None of these coins are directly tied to the politicians themselves, but political satire and viral moments often create fertile ground for meme-coin speculation.

In this instance, remarks about cryptocurrencies or hints at political developments could act as triggers. TREMP and BODEN have both rebounded significantly from March lows—rising about 330% and 290% respectively—making them coins that traders may watch closely during the debate week.

Is Solciety the next PolitiFi token to watch?

Jeo Boden and Donald Tremp currently lead the politics-themed meme coin market on the Solana blockchain.

However, a new contender has emerged: the recently launched Solciety token (SLCTY).

Solciety debuted on June 18 and opened a 30-day presale for SLCTY with an initial price of $0.0015.

Positioned as a newcomer in the PolitiFi space, Solciety markets itself as “the political party for degens,” a platform intended for traders and meme enthusiasts who want to capitalize on political events and election-related opportunities.

In less than 48 hours, Solciety raised more than $300,000 as traders and enthusiasts participated in the presale. The biggest draw isn’t just the token’s price potential but a standout feature of the project on Solana: the Meme Campaigner tool.

The Meme Campaigner allows creators to design viral, branded meme coins within the Solciety ecosystem. Top viral creations—featuring satirical characters such as Donald Pump and Badamir Putin—can earn SLCTY rewards if they gain traction.

Solciety is currently in phase 2 of its presale, with SLCTY priced up to $0.00175. Ahead of a possible upswing in meme coins, the relatively low presale price may present an entry opportunity for interested buyers.
