Artificial Superintelligence Alliance Proposes Merger with CUDOS

  • Artificial Superintelligence Alliance revealed a proposal to merge with CUDOS.
  • The native token of CUDOS, an AI compute platform, would convert to FET if the proposal passes a community vote.

The Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI) has announced a proposal to merge the alliance with the decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) platform CUDOS.

SingularityNET, Fetch.ai and Ocean Protocol previously combined under the ASI umbrella, and this new development would add CUDOS as a non-founding member of the alliance.

ASI proposes CUDOS merger

ASI announced the merger proposal on September 11, while the CUDOS team also posted the news on its social channels.

Details of the proposal describe CUDOS, a distributed AI compute provider, as a strategic addition to the ASI alliance.

Specifically, the proposal notes that CUDOS uses blockchain technology to deliver scalable, cost-effective, and flexible cloud AI services, and that its infrastructure would support ASI’s aim to become a leader in artificial general intelligence (AGI).

“This partnership is not just about combining our resources; it is about creating a seamless ecosystem where AI and blockchain technologies can thrive together, pushing the boundaries of what decentralized AI can achieve. By integrating CUDOS’s powerful compute network within the ASI framework, we set the stage for breakthrough advancements in AI that will redefine the future of technology and pave the way for decentralized AGI and ASI,” said Matt Hawkins, founder of CUDOS.

CUDOS token migration

If both the CUDOS and ASI communities approve the proposal in a vote scheduled between September 19 and September 24, 2024, CUDOS tokens would be converted into the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance’s token (FET).

According to the announcement, the conversion ratio would be 112.427 CUDOS to 1 FET.

A merger fee of 5% would be applied, effectively adjusting the ratio to approximately 118.344:1. CUDOS token price rose sharply on the news, reaching highs near $0.01 prior to profit-taking.

At the time of reporting, CUDOS’s daily trading volume had increased by 113%, exceeding $1.2 million.
