Aptos Integrates Chainlink for Verifiable Data

  • The Aptos Foundation announced that Aptos will use Chainlink price feeds.
  • With the integration, Aptos developers will be able to access real-time price data.

Aptos has integrated Chainlink data feeds to provide developers on the network with tamper-resistant, real-time data. In a January 9 announcement, the Aptos Foundation said the integration with Chainlink will enable Aptos developers to use off-chain price data in real time.

This capability is delivered through Chainlink Price Feeds, a key oracle solution in the decentralized finance ecosystem. “We are excited that Aptos has adopted the Chainlink standard. Chainlink Data Feeds will significantly enhance the reliability of applications built on the network, and we look forward to the innovative ways developers will use them,” said Thodoris Karakostas, Head of Blockchain Partnerships at Chainlink Labs.

The integration will support Aptos’s growth as a Web3 platform and foster an environment for further blockchain innovation. Developers can use Chainlink to access the latest oracle tools to build robust dApp solutions.

“The Chainlink standard allows developers to access high-quality, tamper-resistant data, which is critical for building secure applications,” said Bashar Lazaar, Head of Grants and Ecosystem at the Aptos Foundation.

Key features of Chainlink Data Feeds relied upon by developers and blockchains across the industry include high-quality data, reliable nodes, decentralized infrastructure, and transparent performance. Earlier this week, Aave announced that its V3 deployment was launched on the Aptos testnet.

The deployment marked Aave’s first virtual machine release outside Ethereum and will be used to evaluate V3’s overall safety, stability, and performance on the Aptos network. According to the Aave team, these tests are in preparation for a potential mainnet launch.
