DUSK cools off after recent surge

DUSK, the native token of Dusk Network, slipped below the $0.20 level after dropping more than 35% in the past 24 hours. This pullback followed a rapid advance in which the token gained roughly 150% over seven days, outperforming many large-cap cryptocurrencies.

Data from CoinGlass show that total futures open interest across exchanges reached an all-time high of $47.94 million on Monday before settling at about $39 million on Tuesday.

During the same period, open interest on Binance alone climbed to $20.54 million, levels not seen since February 2023. Rising open interest typically indicates fresh capital entering the market, which can drive price appreciation for DUSK.

On-chain analytics provider Santiment also reported record trading volume for the DUSK ecosystem, hitting $298.43 million on Monday and remaining elevated at roughly $264.16 million on Tuesday.

On Monday, Dusk announced a partnership with Chainlink to integrate key standards broadly across DuskEVM. The integration aims to enable cross-chain interoperability for tokenized real-world assets and provide real-time, high-integrity data for regulated financial applications, supported by NPEX, a fully regulated Dutch exchange.

Will DUSK climb back toward $0.33?

The DUSK/USD four-hour chart remains constructive despite the 35% pullback in the last day. The token is still trading above the weekly resistance-turned-support level near $0.17, and bulls appear to be defending that zone.

If buyers regain control and DUSK closes its daily candle above the weekly resistance level, momentum could resume toward the December high of $0.33.

DUSK/USD 4H Chart

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the four-hour chart sits at 74, above the typical overbought threshold, signaling strong upward momentum. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has also shown a bullish crossover.

However, if the correction continues, DUSK could slide toward the 50% retracement level near $0.18.
